The McCullough representative who serviced my equipment was thorough, knowledgeable and personable. This is just like all McCullough people I have met through several years. I wish the appointment window could be morning or half day. It’s from 8:00-5:00. That’s long, don’t you think?

This is a fantastic service provider! McCullough installed an entirely new system in my home about 2 years ago, and I was panicking when I noticed it started to shut off every night. I called to have someone come out to troubleshoot and Eric was at my door later that same day. As a new homeowner, I didn’t know the steps to properly maintain my AC unit, but Eric saved the day. He flushed the clogged condensate line and shared maintenance tips so I can avoid another AC emergency. This team is fast, reliable, and trustworthy.

Bought a new HVAC system from McCullough last year. Eric S came out to address some noises it was making. He was extremely thorough, identified both issues, and completely resolved them. I have an old house built in 1960 and my indoor unit is in a closet. To remove condensation I have a sump pump below the closet. On many occasions the pump was running much longer than it had when it was first installed. Eric found that somehow some of the tubing to the sump pump had a kink in it. Instead of just straightening out the kink, he completely replaced the hose and secured it so it wouldn’t move in the future and kink up again. The other issue was a small but persistent noise that happened every time the fan came on. That seemed more difficult for him to identify the cause, but he eventually removed the entire fan and casing and found that a small piece of insulation had become lodged in the fan so it hit like a playing card on a kid’s bike wheel every time the fan turned on. I was so thankful that he was as diligent as he was. Both were minor but annoying issues. With my office right beside the hallway where the unit is, I know every sound that thing makes. And now, it is as quiet as a mouse! Thanks, Eric! AND, because I pay the monthly maintenance fee, even though I’ve had the system more than a year, the visit cost me nothing. Thanks, McCullough!

The people from the office personnel, to customer facing serviceman , to sales force, to the company involment in austin area is all first class. Better than their white glove treatment is their focus on their customer needs. McCullough customer relations makes for a home relationship where your hvac is in good hands. McCullough for the full life of your hvac system. Its folks like mitchell reeves in service and in alex stevens in customer supprt and sales a great company.

Got a second opinion from McCollough after getting a big quote for AC and duct work. So glad we did, as they identified major issues the first company missed, and we ended up with a better solution for cheaper. Kyle did a great job making sure we got a quality solution to fit our needs.

I’ve been through 3 ac companies and didn’t feel satisfied until I tried this company , Mcullough. Their prices are the best in town and my service guy, Henry was so professional and trustworthy. So many of these companies are salesy and try to sell you things you don’t need. This guy was honest and gained my trust. I highly recommend this company with any needs for your AC and heater .

Josh Henderson was exceptional. We called a different company before calling McCullough. After they learned our AC was nearing the end of its life, we suspected they inflated the repair quote to land the replacement project. We called McCullough for a second opinion, and they sent Josh to provide a repair estimate. Josh was incredibly honest in his assessment and repaired our AC for a fraction of the other company’s price. Through this process, we learned that many non-locally owned AC companies send salespeople posing as technicians to push large, costly projects. McCullough is locally owned, and they focus on diagnosing the real problem and quoting a fair repair cost.

They were great!! They were prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable! I will recommend them to everyone! Sean is wonderful and so helpful!

Ask for a check of the supply plenum which another service said needed replacing. Service man showed me how he checked the plenum and also evaluated the appropriate size. Because the plenum does need to be replaced and McCullough will do the work the assessment was a no charge.

Blake Eastland did a great job tuning up our two systems. I thought he went above and beyond what previous techs did during the annual checks. Very happy with the McCullough service.

I just had my regular maintenance call and am extremely satisfied. The scheduling was simple and my technician Makayla was very thorough and gave me some great advice about maintaining my system and keeping my home safe.

We had an issue with our five year old AC. Two companies came out, and told us we needed to replace the entire system. Prices were quoted that were in line with closing costs for a house! Then McCullough came out. Honest. Thorough. Professional. Patient. There is not a single test that could’ve been done that wasn’t. We didn’t need a new AC, and they were honest to say so. I cannot recommend this company enough. These are the kinds of companies we all should be supporting. For everyone out there reading this, before you move forward with any repairs or replacements, give the McCollough team a call — we worked with Josh Henderson (you are a rockstar) and Jordan Kharazi.

First repair. A few months ago. Frank was nice. He involved me in the repairs and made it very clear what the issues were and what the repairs would be. Only comment is the price for replacing the warranty part. I thought it was excessively priced for the amount of work involved to replace a warranty part. Work was done well and all seemed to work fine. Second repair. This week. Tech as very informative and the work seemed to be done well and efficiently. Replaced the fan on one of the units. Pricing exercise was very unusual. He first quoted me $700. Yes a round number. When I asked about it, he said, “well, it’s more like $697”. I told him I would pay the diagnostic fee and decide later about the work as it seemed quite high. He then quoted me $633. I again said it was too high and he fiddled around with his phone and then quoted me $410. I agreed to that price. All of this pricing exercise seemed very uncomfortable and confusing. Going from $700 to $410 in five minutes? The technician did a very good job as far as the work was concerned. I am confused about this pricing practice tho.

Blake and his partner came to replace our plenum. They were prepared and efficient with the work. When I mentioned a separate problem from a previous contractor, Blake worked out a way to adjust the plenum design to solve for that other problem.

McCollough HVAC has been servicing my AC system since I replaced the system 5 years ago. I could not be more pleased with the service from the company. I want to give a shout out to James Sanchez, the professional who has helped maintain the system. James is professional, friendly and most important good at his job. I always ask for James if he’s available. Called this morning around 10 because the compressor was making a weird noise. They explained if the problem was not covered under the warranty, I would pay a service call fee. Happy to note the fee was less than other HVAC services I used in the past. They arrived around 1:00PM and removed the branch which had become lodged in the fan and were done by 1:45. Only a service call fee! Yay! Very appreciative of the quick service. 12/20/21. Service call checked out my HVAC for the winter season. Joel arrived on time and checked everything out. We are ready to go. He even fixed a minor problem I had with insulation drifting down from the attic. Thanks, Joel! 4/10/2025 Josh Henderson did my Spring maintenance on the HVAC. Great service! 10/13/2025 Eric Suarez performed my winter heat inspection. He was thorough and quick, flushing the drain line in the process. Like all of the previous technicians from Mc Collough technicians he was pleasant and professional.

We're glad we chose them for our needs. Highly recommend ! On Jan 7, 2025 we needed our system checked. Thomas Ishey was prompt, courteous, and extremely helpful. I AM UPDATING MY REVIEW TO HELP OTHER HVAC CUSTOMERS OF ANY COMPANY. WE NOTICED OUR NEW AC WAS NOT AS QUIET AS WE THOUGHT IT SHOULD BE. MY HUSBAND CALLED CARRIER TO CHECK WARRANTY DATA. THEY SAUD THE UNIT REGISTERED FOR OUR WARRANTY DUD NOT MATCH THE SERIAL # DESCRIPTION OF OUR CONTRACT. WE DID NOT GET THE UPGRADED AC UNIT WE PAID FOR. McCullough team responded immediate ly and investigated. We believe them when they say person who input order entered wrong data. Hence, ticket for warehouse were incorrect and so was installation. They immediately found the unit we should have received and installed it. LESSON LEARNED!! TO ALL IF YOU WITH REPLACED SYSTEMS, YOU MAY WANT TO DOUBLE CHECK. Thanks to McCullough for fast replacement. We are just glad we caught it. AND YES, the correct unit is more quiet than the builder grade unit and should last longer.

Just had my Fall inspection with Makayla Morgan of McCullough Heating and Air Conditioning. Everything checked out great and we are ready to heat for Winter. Makayla was excellent. My air conditioning went out on Saturday at 2pm just hours before a housewarming party. Within a couple hours the technician, Makayla, arrived and quickly figured out the problem and was able to swap out the part and get the system running. Great experience and they truly saved the day.

Blake came out to our house to check our AC system. He was able to identify and remedy the problem within a short time of being there. He quickly obtained the parts necessary to fix the AC and came out immediately to repair the system. We noticed an immediate change in our system and have had no problems since.

Vlad is a true expert and masters level electrical and air conditioning guru. When our 5 ton Carrier unit stopped cooling, he was able to find the leak quickly and get the replacement here fast.

McCullough has been taken care of us since we put in our unit in 2019! We are part of their comfort club and they come out a couple times a year to check our system and change our filter. Very professional.Christopher Rose came out this time and did a great job! Very happy with this company! as far as I know, it is locally owned and not corporate owned like so many businesses are these days.

McCullough came out the next day after we called and thoroughly checked our dying 4 ton 2003 model central air system. Since this system used old style refrigerant (now banned) we agreed repairs were pointless, and are now working on options for a high efficiency replacement. Very affordable service visit.

Dom was excellent. He came for QC following a particularly difficult installation. I had concerns after my HVAC installation, and Dom helped me feel reassured that everything was good. In addition, he went above and beyond to help me with my thermostat.

Our 30 year old AC was dying a slow death, and we decided, after a couple of estimates, to go with McCullough on a new system (we ended up having to get a condensing unit because our attic is foam-insulated). We could not be happier: the installation went very smooth, with two very courteous techs, and the end result is a new unit that is quieter and does a much better job in providing cool comfort throughout the house.

The technician did a good job. However, I don’t understand why the things that are being corrected. Today were not taken care of upon the installation of the new HVAC a year ago.

Not only did he explain everything in terms, I could understand, he made suggestions to improve the efficiency of my unit. He was friendly, efficient & on time. Thomas is truly appreciated. Our HVAC was failing to cool and technician Eric Suarez helped us resolve the issue quickly. It ended up being a problem with the thermostat and filter putting the unit in a bad state, which required resetting the unit. Eric was courteous, friendly, and professional.

Called to have my ac unit checked for the year, they said they don't check ac units anymore for the rest of the year only heating units. But for an extra 50 on top of there 149 fee they could look at the ac also.

Reliable service at reasonable cost.

Eric was amazing. He explained everything step-by-step, was friendly, and took care of the issue pretty quickly! A1 service.

Kyle Stirling stopped by my house on Thursday (Sept 18) around 1PM. He spent about an hour to diagnose and point out a refrigerant leak happening on my evaporator coil on my Lennox 5-Ton system. He gave me fair-and-square pricing on replacing the whole upper unit air-handler unit with a brand new one, and collected the 50% deposit of the whole price (labor and parts and additional refrigerant gas, if necessary). He informed me another crew from McCullough will return on October 1, 2025 to remove the existing air handler and install the new one, and potentially add refrigerant if needed. He finally topped off my refrigerant to make sure I can stay cool until October 1st. My experience with Kyle was great, and I do hope to see the same will happen when McCullough’s crew comes in on October 1st to replace my air handler unit.

Quick, thorough, and no complaints about the attic work required; also gave good advice on resolving the issues on my own if they ever recur in the future.

Our service tech did a good job of diagnosing the problem, ordering the air handler parts, and installing them after they arrived the next day at our home. He even returned after leaving the job to fix an issue caused by equipment installation. The tech recommended that we install a surge protector/voltage monitor to protect the replaced equipment from power surges and brownouts. Unfortunately the SPD recommended by McCullough will not do what the tech said it would do, so there needs to be better communication within McCullough so that in the future misinformation is not conveyed to the customer.

By far the best AC company around. This is my third year using them, and they are always honest about what it needs, if anything at all. They’ve caught things that no one else has been able to catch. Awesome,

The drain pipe was clogged and water was seeping through the flow. Admittedly, I had not checked nor really understood the system. My husband passed away this year and he managed the hvac system. Dillan was both friendly and professional. He did not act rushed and took the time to explain the system to me.

I don’t think I was being targeted as a rube, but McCullough quoted me around $14,000 to replace my AC unit, which they said definitely had a blockage. The actual problem was that my main attic duct had been ripped in two by raccoons. A neighbor fixed everything with aluminum tape for $30 and the AC runs fine now. I’m sure they’re professionals and they’ve gotten great reviews here, but shop around for other estimates.

We have been extremely pleased with McCullough Heating and Air Conditioning from the beginning. They came on a weekend to fix our AC and discovered it was old and not repairable. His friendly, personable, and professional manner put us at ease. I was a little surprised, then pleased, that installation would happen the next day. Mark and Chris were friendly, professional, and went about their duties in an orderly and calm manner. All 3 of these men seem to like their jobs. Good guys! That's important to us. The cost was good, too. Our previous system was 25 years old and had been working well until it suddenly crashed. Price was fair mkt but they don't balance the air, whatever that involves, and any duct work is extra at high prices. IOW your new unit might not cool house evenly, unless you pay a whole bunch more. Seems like something other companies would include

Nothing but great things to say! Evan came by to inspect a non-functional mini split that had been installed by a different company AND that had become a conduit for rodents coming into our air conditioned converted shed space. EEEK, am I right??! Evan took the time to investigate and explain how the rodents and other pests were coming up the lines and into our space due to a too-large opening that had not been sealed AT ALL by the other company. He talked to us about our heating and cooling needs and came up with an option to replace the mini split with a new unit. Ultimately, since this particular space is so small, we decided to continue with a window unit, since it seems to be performing better than the previous mini split system. However, due to Evan's knowledge base and McCullough's fair pricing, we will be calling them in the future for our main house's climate needs. Thanks, Evan!

My AC stopped working on Saturday. Called McCullough, and they had a tech to our home first thing Sunday morning..The tech, Sean, was professional and prompt. He checked our outside and inside unit, and had the issue diagnosed within minutes. He explained the cost and set our mind at ease. He worked swiftly and fixed the capacitor, what seemed like minutes. I highly recommend McCullough and have nothing but high praise for their tech Sean.

Very professional service on two A/C units. I suspected one unit was low on refrigerant and Clayton confirmed that. It was $105 for 1 pound of refrigerant. He replaced one of the filters and hosed out the condensing units. He also confirmed that I correctly wired my new smart thermostat.

Have installed 2 systems in the last 3 months, both replaced A/C & Heat systems were over 20 years old... I appreciate the consultive and honest approach Alex brought. Once we made the decision, we have been pleased with the install and results! Highly recommend!

I needed my 25 year-old HVAC system replaced and McCullough submitted the best price and equipment out of four companies. Evan was our project manager and was very patient and responsive to our numerous questions. Ricardo and Ivan removed our old system and installed the new Carrier equipment. Both were very professional and patient. Their attention to detail was refreshing. Dominique followed up with a QC appointment and he was just as professional and patient with our many questions. I won't use any other HVAC company and highly recommend McCullough to my friends and neighbors.

Another Mccoulough miracle. There were some hiccups with scheduling and I reached out to the office and they assigned Eric to be our personal repair professional. He shared his cell and basically worked around our schedule for the repair. For our inconvenience Mccoulough added another year of labor coverage. We have been with Mccoulough for decades for our 4 units. We would never use anyone else!

Great experience through our the whole Process

Writing another review because Blake & Jared’s work has to be appreciated! We had such a complex/janky setup with our previous system and they spent all day troubleshooting a replacement project- making sure every detail was correct. That gives us huge piece of mind with the repairs and yet again- McCullough sends the best people!

I have been using McCullough Heating and Air to provide my twice yearly maintenance for nearly 3 years. During the last 2 months I have had my unit serviced by Vlad for a drain clog and recently Jared for my annual maintenance. Both technicians did a great job and spent time servicing my unit despite that it happened to be late in the day. Both were professional in their demeanor and engaging. I would have to say the same for the past technicians who have serviced my a/c unit. I would also offer that I have been impressed with the thorough maintenance service that McCullough provides,

Shawn and the eval/repair team were great. 5 stars for them. Unfortunately the front office is impossible to work with. Erica in particular. After expressing to the eval team that yes, of course I would like to buy the annual membership as part of a $4k repair because it would result in net savings of $400+, when the time came to perform the repair the final payment was processed without any mention of the annual membership and savings. After this I contacted McCullough the same day of service to ask if it was possible to add the membership and receive the discount. One team member informed me that was possible, so we added the membership. The next day, Erica informed me this is not possible and that there was nothing they can do. This makes absolutely no sense to me and there was no conversation or admission of minor error that could be rectified relatively easily. So now instead of being pleased with the work, next time I need AC service it won’t be with McCullough.

The system my dad has was installed back in 2010 by McCullough and they have serviced the system since then...I have always been more than satisfied...this specific service/repair event, even more so...the heating kit on the Auxiliary system was no longer working and a new one was ordered...this is the system in my 86 year old father's home, so his warmth is paramount to me...the new heat kit was faulty and the service tech and McCullough coordinated finding a replacement and searched the city and found one...all was completed by 1:30pm and well before the storm hit...my dad's home maintained a comfy 72 degrees...I am very thankful and appreciative... Update: McCullough just replaced the 20+ year HVAC system in my own home and I also cannot say enough good things about that experience...from the repair gentleman, to the sales tech to the install crew and then finally the quality control inspector...3rd experience with McCullough and I cannot recommend them highly enough...
