We decided to replace and upgrade our three air conditioning and heating systems and started the search and evaluation of the equipment and installers available in Austin. We selected McCullough and hoped it was the best choice., Now the units are installed and everything with McCullough was excellent. Did a nice job of diagnosing an issue with our heater. We purchase a new AC/Heater in 2024. Guess the heater was not tested after during installation.

No surprise, whole house HVAC systems are expensive! I had mine replaced in 2014 and have been enrolled in McCullough's HVAC service program for the past ten years. Their service technicians have always been outstanding, and on my recent furnace checkup, Alonzo Olivas was no exception. I couldn't have asked for a better person to do the work. He was very friendly, thoroughly professional, and did not rush through his checklist. Alonzo gave me a written estimate on an additional service item that he said could become an issue later in time, but he was not pushy about it. I recommend anyone who needs a new HVAC system, or who is looking to have their present system serviced, to contact McCullough Heating and Air Conditioning.

I called McCullough on a Friday morning because our upstairs heater was not working. I wasn’t in a hurry to get it fixed as we had another unit. However that one stopped working shortly after I called. I called back to let them know we now had no heat and the got me on the schedule for that day. Dereck Vizcarrondo called me within a couple of hours to let me know he was on his way. Luckily it was an easy fix and he had both units running quickly. Dereck was very knowledgeable and professional. He could have told me I needed to replace some part or tell me it was something major but he didn’t. He was honest and did a great job. McCullough Heating and Air has never let me down.

I put in a new unit some years back and signed up for the winter/summer checks. This was one of my smartest moves. I've kept up the program for their checks fall and winter for quite a while now. DeAndre Rodriguez is extremely thorough, explains everything he checks and has the pictures to show me. He also replaces my filter for me, it's in the attic and not a fan of getting up there. Thank you for being an honest, personable and thorough company! I give McCullough (and DeAndre) 5 stars!

Several components checked were inspected or tested. Results were explained and provided in a detailed summary report. A recommendation to improve air filtration was also provided. I was very satisfied with this appointment and will do it again next year.

Honestly I had the best experience that I've ever had with a service call involving maintenance or evaluation of any home system. The service technician was knowledgeable, courteous, and most of all honest- I dread being oversold anything or pushed to upgrade when not needed, and this gentleman was the opposite- he simply suggested what was actually needed. A+ experience overall, and I will absolutely use & recommend McCullough Heating & Air!!

I have been using McCullough since purchasing my condo back in 2020. Almost all Of our residents use McCullough bc they are thorough and trustworthy. I use their bi-yearly tune up service which has saved me a lot of money in the long run by diagnosing problems before they arise. I have just enough experience with heating and cooling systems to be dangerous...but it helped me understand Joey's explanations. He did a great job and I felt comfortable in knowing what he did and why he did it. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend McCollough Heating and Air....along with Joey.

Not particularly an Issue with technician that came to service heater but did feel the replacement filter estimate price given was way overpriced. The tech offered to replace it at $205.00 which is an outrageous price when you can get the same filter (AprilAire 210) at Amazon for $55.00 plus tax. Not sure if this is out of tech’s control or that is just the price McCullough offers.

Dereck was great. He did my winter check up and thoroughly checked the HVAC system. I have always had excellent service from this company. The technicians have always been professional and willing to answer any questions. I would highly recommend this company.

Joey Galvan, the HVAC specialist representing McCullough Heating and Air Conditioning came to my house on November 4 and November 15 to check out my heater, blow out the lines, test the amps, advise on the longevity of our unit, and more. Joey is kind, thorough, highly skilled, and frugal with my money. I highly recommend McCullough Heating and Air Conditioning, and specifically, Joey Galvan.

McCullough rep Alex worked out an appropriate complete update to my heating/cooling system that seemed to be a fair price compared to another contractor. Techs who installed the system did a great job to accomodate our needs and follow up support was very good also. No complaints at all.

My Infinity thermostat was rebooting continuously, James came and in few minutes identified a clog in the water drain that was activating the reset switch and the whole system was restarting

Highly professional organization. Suggested the optimal system replacement for an upstairs unit, as oppose to the most expensive. Suggested repair for another unit as oppose to replacement. Customer centric.

Our AC went out at the height of the heat in Texas!! Alex from McCullough came out and provided an estimate for the unit. He has a great deal of expertise and knowledge about AC systems. He showed us an issue with the duct work that needed to be repaired as well...that no other AC company found. He also recommended an additional vent in an area of the house that never seemed to cool off well. The techs arrived on time and were very professional. They spent all day installing the unit, repairing the ducts and installing a new vent and a new thermostat in the Texas heat!!! McCullough went the extra mile and filed for any/all rebates we could use AND registered our unit with the manufacturer!!! On top of that, an inspector came out 2 weeks later to ensure everything was installed properly and working well. He demonstrated some features on the thermostat that I was unaware of and set it up for us. Everyone showed up on time and all were very professional. Thank you to McCullough and the team that got our AC back up and running. I highly recommend them!!!

Alvin Moore just completed my semi annual checkup before the heating season starts. Alvin has been here before and was exceptional then. What’s better than exceptional? Alvin Moore! He is friendly, thorough, efficient and respectful. He takes the time to explain what he does and what his findings are. He does this in plain English. He is also very neat, tidy and careful. He treats my house better than I do and I treat it pretty well. He is just a pleasure to deal with. This has been my experience with the rest of the McCullough team as well. McCulloch has taken care of us for at least eight years. They put in this new unit when the old one went bad. That was also a holiday weekend, and they put in temporary window units to get us through. Also a remarkably hot summer. They came out today, to check on an odd noise. They discovered nothing really was wrong, but I am very relieved at having professionals support our system. Especially in this age of global warming.

I purchased an HVAC unit last year, and was told and promised that I get 1 complimentary maintenance service. I scheduled one this year on 11/1/2024. The serviceman Dereck came by and only did the maintenance for the heater, and told me that i will get another free service in the spring for AC. I called the office, they told me that is only for paid members. It's quite disappointing. And when Dereck did the maintenance on 11/1, he pulled out the air filter, and put it back in opposite direction of the airflow (away from heater instead of toward the heater). I found that out when i replaced the filter today. that's pretty bad. Update 11/11: service manager reached out and helped schedule another complimentary appointment in the spring and fall of next year. They really didn't have to do this, but this shows that they care about their customers and stand behind their work. I really appreciate that. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their service and system to anyone.

My most recent experience with McCullough was great, much like past experiences. However, Frank B. went above and beyond. He was friendly and informative. He even climbed into the attic to check out an issue we’ve been experiencing, diagnosed the problem, and put together a very reasonable estimate. I’d recommend this company to anyone in ATX looking for residential HVAC services and support.

Mitchell was great. The fact that McCullough gives an all-day window for the technician to arrive is so 1980-ish. Even cable companies give you a 4-hour arrival windo.

McCollough HVAC has been servicing my AC system since I replaced the system 5 years ago. I could not be more pleased with the service from the company. I want to give a shout out to James Sanchez, the professional who has helped maintain the system. James is professional, friendly and most important good at his job. I always ask for James if he’s available. Called this morning around 10 because the compressor was making a weird noise. They explained if the problem was not covered under the warranty, I would pay a service call fee. Happy to note the fee was less than other HVAC services I used in the past. They arrived around 1:00PM and removed the branch which had become lodged in the fan and were done by 1:45. Only a service call fee! Yay! Very appreciative of the quick service. 12/20/21. Service call checked out my HVAC for the winter season. Joel arrived on time and checked everything out. We are ready to go. He even fixed a minor problem I had with insulation drifting down from the attic. Thanks, Joel!

Have used McCullough for about 2 years. Have found all their technicians and office staff to be professional, dependable and trustworthy. We have systems that are about 15 yrs old. And have made a few upgrades to help eliminate mold and dust concerns we’ve noticed, over all we found McCollough to be super informative and reasonable with their recommendations to address my concerns. Specifically, our technician Nick was super helpful and informative.

My 15yr old AC wasn't working and McCullough was on Austin Energy's list of companies participating in the weatherization program I qualified for, so I gave them a call. I was afraid it was finally out for good, but Mitchell was able to come out the same day and had it working (faulty wiring) pretty quickly. Seemed quick, honest and very straight-forward. Was referred to McCullough by a friend who has used them for years. We just had a new system installed by another firm and our new rep found quite a few things that he adjusted that have made a difference already. Our old firm got bought by a PE firm and service was more about speed than quality. We have found our new preferred HVAC provider.

Scheduled an appointment online for a leaky a. c. and they were here the next day to make the repairs. Friendly service and fair pricing.

I certainly found honesty and professionalism in McCullough and Joey, the tech who came out. He blew out my AC lines thoroughly, and is wisely waiting to check all the electrical system because it was raining. He also changed my unit filter. I signed up for the maintenance program that McCullough offers. It is well worth the $16.95 a month because a McCullough representative will come out and check out your HVAC unit if you ask, and change your AC filter every 6 months. I highly recommend McCullough Heating and Air Conditioning, and specifically, Joey.

Wonderful Service. My old air conditioner went out on a day that reached 100 degrees. McCullough Heating & Air was able to have Alonzo Olivas come out by noon. He was very knowledgeable and got the old air conditioner running and cooling again. He spent time explaining what he did and several options going forward. Great experience!

We had a great service experience for a recent issue with the AC unit. Appointment scheduling was a breeze; they explained the fees very transparently. I got outstanding service from McCullough on a complete replacement of my home HVAC system including two new Carrier Infinity heat pump units and two dual-fuel air handling units in my attic. Chris M. did a great job surveying, planning, and estimating the work and following up after the installation. Gilbert G. led two crews doing the installation and did a great job. It was a difficult job in tight attic spaces but to my surprise they completed it in one day with excellent quality work. The system is working great and is very efficient. McCullough exceeded my expectations for service and the Carrier system is performing very well. I highly recommend them for your HVAC needs!

Very favorable experience overall replacing two of our HVAC systems. Starting with the sales process, Alex identified duct and return work that was wrong in our existing system that was contributing to issues I was having and other firms did not identify these items. The installation team was efficient, knowledgeable and neat. There were a couple minor items I needed addressed after installation and Jensen, the installation supervisor, came promptly and addressed the matters. I will be highly recommending them to folks in my area.

Frank was outstanding. He involved me in the repairs and made it very clear what the issues were and what the repairs would be. Only comment is the price for replacing the warranty part. I thought it was more than it should have been for the amount of work involved. But overall we are pleased with the experience.

I would love to share the incredible experience that we have had. Kyle was exceptionally phenomenal. We had a number of things that we didn’t understand why they were happening. He did thorough inspection work. He looked at everything very much. He then proceeded to provide us with an overview of what he saw was going on and his action plan to fix it. he came back and then fixed it after he got the parts and the other things that he needed. Kyle is the best!!!!

I would highly recommend the McCullogh team for your HVAC needs. They have installed two systems for me. One of them was a complete overhaul including moving the attic unit to a better location and reconfiguring some ducts to improve air distribution. Everything about this crew was professional and quality. Good communication, explained everything well, the install was professional.

Had an A/C problem and called overnight to get appt. for next day. Service call fixed the problem and no charge for a simple drain clog that automatically shuts off the A/C. we've been satisfied McCullough customers for about 10 years now!

I called at 8:15am because the system wasn’t cooling right. Within hours Nick was onsite and successfully determined the issue. Nick thoroughly explained the issue and ordered the part. The very next day he was back and didn’t leave until everything was checked and confirmed working correctly.

Kyle S was prompt, courteous, thorough, and efficient in identifying the problem and taking care of it - and, he left the area cleaner than when he found it. We appreciate being able to get same-day service calls with no problem. This is the second time McCullough was able to respond to us immediately. It's great to not have to wait very long!

Tech was respectful of my property and of me, wearing appropriate PPE and social distancing. He explained everything and followed up with a detailed report. No high pressure. They arrived shortly after I called and brought a window unit for my bedroom to use until my system was in. Had done my research and Alex suggested exactly what my research indicated I needed. The installation was scheduled for the next morning, Saturday, and the installers followed safety protocols. So grateful for them going all out to help me. They were exceptional and I recommend them highly and in fact already have.

Our AC was not cooling and I called McCullough using our prepaid unlimited diagnostic program The technician, Mitchell, promptly discovered what had failed (subsequently confirmed) , pointed out that costly $3,000 repair was not the best decision to make on a 14 year old 5 ton Carrrier unit. The salesman, Joe, promptly arrived, agreed with Mitchell, proposed a new Carrier replacement at a good discount. Installation went smoothly two days later and unit is working well. All debris was removed. Could not have been done better. I later learned price was very competitive and fair.

We were having some issues with our air conditioner and our thermostat and DeAndre from McCullough heating and air came out to help diagnose the problem. He was professional, polite, on-time and very patient in trying to figure out what was going on. We would definitely have DeAndre back in the future.

Returned home after several days away and heard a strong vibration sound coming from the compressor. We called the 24 hour service around midnight and they were able to set up an appointment for the next morning. The technician showed up first thing discovered the source of the vibration fixed it, and also cleaned up the compressor. Very satisfied with this level of service

McCullough is a top shelf company. Their technician EJ Pittaway did an excellent job solving and repairing my A/C problems. I called on a Sunday, made an appointment for Monday and was fixed by that early afternoon.

Love these guys. I've had them install a mini-split in the garage and most recently had them come out to clear out a clog in the drain from my main unit. Booking was super easy and they came out the next morning. Great and honest service!

My AC Unit was only 3 years old but ran into major issues where the cooling completely stopped. Luckily still had the parts warranty and Kyle from McCullough walked me through the entire issue with all my options especially with what was covered and what was out of pocket. They provided discounting options through maintenance plan and they repaired everything as quickly as they could! I really appreciate all the time Kyle put in to resolve my AC issues within a day after the initial inspection.
