My Infinity thermostat was rebooting continuously, James came and in few minutes identified a clog in the water drain that was activating the reset switch and the whole system was restarting

GILBERT Garcia and Mike installed our new HVAC system this week. They were prompt, courteous, extremely capable, and did a great job. Our a/c is definitely running quietly and more efficiently. We're glad we chose them for our needs. Highly recommend ! On Jan 7, 2025 we needed our system checked. Thomas Ishey was prompt, courteous, and extremely helpful. I AM UPDATING MY REVIEW TO HELP OTHER HVAC CUSTOMERS OF ANY COMPANY. WE NOTICED OUR NEW AC WAS NOT AS QUIET AS WE THOUGHT IT SHOULD BE. MY HUSBAND CALLED CARRIER TO CHECK WARRANTY DATA. THEY SAUD THE UNIT REGISTERED FOR OUR WARRANTY DUD NOT MATCH THE SERIAL # DESCRIPTION OF OUR CONTRACT. WE DID NOT GET THE UPGRADED AC UNIT WE PAID FOR. McCullough team responded immediate ly and investigated. We believe them when they say person who input order entered wrong data. Hence, ticket for warehouse were incorrect and so was installation. They immediately found the unit we should have received and installed it. LESSON LEARNED!! TO ALL IF YOU WITH REPLACED SYSTEMS, YOU MAY WANT TO DOUBLE CHECK. Thanks to McCullough for fast replacement. We are just glad we caught it. AND YES, the correct unit is more quiet than the builder grade unit and should last longer.

Fantastic service. The tech that showed up (Joey), was on time, professional, and personable. He fixed our problem and presented options concerning our system. He was very knowledgeable and shared that knowledge with me. Great tech! Install team arrived on Friday for replacement of A coil in unit in the attic. Ricardo and Adrian did great job. Another problem arose with compressor. It had gone out. Joey came back and replaced the outside unit, making sure my wife and I had cool air for the weekend. He stayed until he was sure everything was operating correctly. We were pleased with the great service! 9/18, Joey came back to check levels from work done last week and recommend added fixes to get the system to peak performance. He provided estimate of costs and what these improvements would actually do. As always, it was a pleasure dealing with him. Henry came by to perform spring service on Thursday 5/1/25. Very courteous and thorough. He advised of issues with A/C system, and made arrangements to return to install another intake and clean motor. Very good technician, listed all performance checks and was a pleasure to deal with.

I have air conditioning that works again thanks to Dillon. He was informative and then thorough when analyzing and fixing the problem. I will be using McCullough heating and air conditioning from now on. They send someone out quickly to fix your problem and they are reliable so I can’t recommend them enough!!

The technician was courteous and professional and answered all my questions. My only gripe is with the scheduling of the company. I wish they could better narrow down arrival time to either morning or afternoon.

Shawn did an excellent job repairing my AC unit. I appreciate his coming out late (7 pm) to take care of it. Very professional in all respects.

My technician Dillon was on time, very friendly, and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed and repaired her problem in about an hour. He even gave the option of doing the basic repair or doing a little bit more that could increase the life of the system. I'll definitely call them again for our HVAC needs.

Best HVAC company. I will use them again in the future. Just had 2 a/c &furnace systems replaced. Throughout the whole process, there was clear evidence that this company has very good standards. The technicians were focused, courteous, used good workmanship. Alex Stevens was our estimator and he was very helpful in getting us the best equipment for our needs at a reasonable price. Their process includes a quality control procedure where an experienced tech comes over to review all details of the installation to ensure it was properly done and will pass code inspection. This is not a new concept, but who actually does that? That is one little example of what I mean by good company standards. Try them. You'll see what I mean.

We had our entire AC system replaced, and while we ran into some early challenges...the leadership team at McCullough has really gone out of their way in the end to make things right and get it all sorted out. Very appreciative of Shelton and his team (Shawn/Sean was great!) who really took care of us.

I had Brian Van Pelt out today to do the annual maintenance on my A/C units. He was on time, very thorough, asked good questions and made recommendations. McCoullogh came through again!

Tech was respectful of my property and of me, wearing appropriate PPE and social distancing. He explained everything and followed up with a detailed report. No high pressure. I will certainly recommend them to others. Update: McCullough just installed an entirely new system for me. They arrived shortly after I called and brought a window unit for my bedroom to use until my system was in. Had done my research and Alex suggested exactly what my research indicated I needed. The installation was scheduled for the next morning, Saturday, and the installers followed safety protocols. So grateful for them going all out to help me. They were exceptional and I recommend them highly and in fact already have. Update: Thomas installed my new thermostat as scheduled and made sure all was functioning properly before he left. Still recommending them to family and friends.

From beginning to completion of the task my experience with McCullough Heating and Air Conditioning was positive. I especially applaud Christopher, the tech. He is a man of integrity and competence.

Finally an HVAC company that came up with an actual long term solution to what was causing continual issues with my air handler vs just putting an expensive bandaid on the issue just to come back every year. Dereck was on time, professional, efficient in his diagnosis and thought through a solution that no one else had suggested in 4 years of me owning the system. I will be switching my go to HVAC business to McCullough as I need long term solutions to address the core of the issue , not expensive temporary yearly services. Relieved I tried a new company this time around and called McCullough.

McCollough is the best and Chris is the best of the best! McCollough’s service plan and technicians are fabulous. Chris thoroughly evaluated my units, replaced the filters (one in an extremely difficult location), and then explained all the problems with one of the units and costed out the needed repairs. And he’s very pleasant. The best service I’ve had from McCollough yet. Thank you, McCollough and Chris!

Technician Desmond did an excellent job servicing our 3 units that were part of the annual maintenance plan. Replaced a blown capacitor on one of the units and was charged $250 after maintenance plan discount! I think the part costs $40 or $50 when I looked up online. Felt I was charged a lot in spite of being on maintenance plan and since there was no extra trip and was just part of the service. I was recommending McCullough to friends before, but may have to rethink.

I’ve been with McCullough for many years and I always feel like I’m in good hands. They are competent, thorough and honest. There are many companies to choose from but McCullough is the best!

Asked for a morning appointment a month in advance. Arrived at 330 pm. He was good and explained things but in a hurry because so busy and left his liquid nitrogen at house and had to come by and pick it up next day

Evan took the time during the site visit to explain our options, helped us choose the best system for our needs and and prepared a competitive bid to replace our system. Installation crew walked us through the install, set up new controller and did a great job of removing the old system and installing the new one. The guys at McCullough were great as usual. Highly recommend them.

Henry was friendly and effective. The tested the whole system to ensure not to miss anything. He cleared the drain lines to ensure there we no clogs. He ordered the needed part and returned the next day. He diagnosed my ac issues and replaced the motherboard. He made sure that the ac was operational before he left. Great Service.

Josh was clean, curious, and quick to get his work done(AC summer Tune-up). I’ve used McCullough 2 years since we bought our new ACs from them. Nothing but good news to report.

I had such a wonderful experience. My main point of contact was Joe who helped walk me through all options, answered (in great detail at my request) how HVACs work and all aspects of what I needed done. McCullough’s whole team was super responsive and often times bent over backwards to accommodate my other contractor schedules (home I purchased was in need of a lot of repairs). I highly recommend McCullough for all your HVAC needs. They ROCK. I wish every contractor experience could be this pain free and easy P.S. they also sent a Tiff’s Treats box of warm cookies after everything was done

The customer service and responsiveness that we received from McCullough Heating & Air was truly impressive. I sent a text mentioning a concern that I had and immediately received a call from the Service Manager (Joel), who quickly addressed the issue and turned what could have been a potentially negative customer experience into a very positive one. Others in the service industry could take a lesson from these guys. Joel and team, thank you for going above and beyond.

Thomas called to provide his arrival time, and showed up at that time precisely. He carefully inspected the inside and outside units. He also installed my new filter for me, and said all was well, however, that I needed a new fresh air UV. He informed me of the price and I gave him my approval to order it. He ordered the UV unit, and let me know it would be in early next week, at which time they would call to schedule an installation time. I would highly recommend Thomas for his services!! He did an excellent job!!

McCollough HVAC has been servicing my AC system since I replaced the system 5 years ago. I could not be more pleased with the service from the company. I want to give a shout out to James Sanchez, the professional who has helped maintain the system. James is professional, friendly and most important good at his job. I always ask for James if he’s available. Called this morning around 10 because the compressor was making a weird noise. They explained if the problem was not covered under the warranty, I would pay a service call fee. Happy to note the fee was less than other HVAC services I used in the past. They arrived around 1:00PM and removed the branch which had become lodged in the fan and were done by 1:45. Only a service call fee! Yay! Very appreciative of the quick service. 12/20/21. Service call checked out my HVAC for the winter season. Joel arrived on time and checked everything out. We are ready to go. He even fixed a minor problem I had with insulation drifting down from the attic. Thanks, Joel! 4/10/2025 Josh Henderson did my Spring maintenance on the HVAC. Great service!

Shawn was great! Gave me notice before arriving so I could put my dogs inside. Arrived when he said he would & explained what he would be doing to diagnose my problem. He found the leak & we discussed my options. He was friendly & courteous.

Great technician. Informed us of the good and the bad with our HVAC system. Elected to go with a UV air cleaner to mitigate mold allergies in the house. Told us to wait and watch one other issue, we did not need to spend money on a fix at this time. Great service, did not try to take advantage of the situation.

Great service, diagnosed and repaired within 24 hrs after working with another company that had 3 service calls over 8 days and could not fix our AC.

I woke up to a hot house. I called McCullough and they were able to send someone today. Alonzo came to my house and was extremely knowledgeable and explained what was happening to our AC unit. He gave me several options on how to fix it and all in all the AC unit was cooling within less than an hour from when he arrived. I will always use McCullough.

We had a leak in a tankless water heater . The technician , Erik , was very thorough to ensure that the issue was fixed. He also redid previous work from another plumbing company to get it to code. We appreciate his detail oriented approach to get our AC running.

Kyle at McCoullough came out to service our HVAC late on a Friday night after our roofing contractors caused an issue. He was able to quickly identify the presenting issue and resolve it. However, he went above and beyond to make sure that the unit was functioning as expected. It was not. He discovered that there was an additional issue - also caused by the contractors - that would have only been found with a full assessment of the system. Highly recommended - great work ethic and thoroughness.

Henry and Josh just completed my semi annual checkup before the cooling season gets going in full gear here in Austin. I know Henry from previous service. My first time meeting Josh. They are both friendly, respectful, knowledgeable and efficient. They are both dedicated to exceptional customer service and they just delivered it. I can’t ask for more from anyone or any business. McCollough does a great job with their employees. Everyone has been a pleasure and a privilege to deal with. Last December I did have to replace one of my heat pumps, a Lennox with a leaky coil. Stay away from Lennox at all cost. They have had coil issues for years and don’t properly own up to it. I have replaced 3 Lennox coils in 6 years. McCollough is not a Lennox dealer, another reason to love and respect them. When I replaced that system I went with a Carrier system from McCollough. So far it’s been great! My salesperson was Troy. He did an exceptional job. It was installed by Bruce and Thomas. They were great, as expected. How they are able to get those big air handlers into the little holes in the ceiling without ripping up the house is nothing short of amazing. If I have to replace anything again I want Bruce and Thomas to do it. Thanks very much to McCollough and it’s great people. I can’t say enough good things about this class operation.

Desmond Lopez was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and very informative about our AC issues. Really, I can not say enough things about him. Our issue was resolved quickly and we were very happy with the resolution of the service experience.

Henry is very professional. I also really appreciate his integrity. During his work on my AC unit he accidentally broke part of my system that was only needed for heating. I would have never known until cold weather set in and maybe not even then. The result would have been another service call and more fees. Instead, he came back another day with the correct part and fixed it at no charge. I like working with people and firms that have those kind of ethical standards. In a second visit from McCullough to fix my intermittently non-working air conditioner, Dillon promptly fixed the issue, explained what was wrong, and showed me how to restore my system if the same problem occurred again. Once again saving me additional service future service fees.

Alonzo has been our service technician at McCullough several times. He is always punctual, polite, thorough and careful to clean up. I appreciate the detailed report we get in an email after each visit.

Henry and team did a wonderful job from start to finish. I had a Lennox AC coil that was leaking and near the end of warranty. Henry and team worked with me as we went back and forth with customer service trying to get the warranty confirmed, other HVAC repair places would probably not go that far to help. Henry replaced the coil and got everything working great, no more leaks

I’ve done business with McCullough for several years now. the did multiple repairs on my low-end, crappy DR Horton installed AC unit until I decided to upgrade to a high quality HVAC system. Desmond in particular has been a regular. He’s awesome. Highly trained, polite, friendly, and efficient. The same is true of every other tech they’ve sent out. Most important is that the company seems to have a highly trained, stable, competent staff. They are also highly response if I call them with questions. I don’t know that they are the cheapest, but cheapest isn’t always the best answer. Quality is what matters in the long run and I think this company is a quality organization. He also installed my new filter for me, and said all was well, however, that I needed a new fresh air UV. He informed me of the price and I gave him my approval to order it. Had the best experience with McCullough !! Our heat wasn't working and I had had another company come to fix it but they weren't offering up any solutions for the issue other than waiting for.. honesty Im not even sure what. Heat typically isn't that important but this was during a colder spell and we were pretty cold inside !! I reached out to McCullough for a second opinion and the technician that came out (Frank) was AMAZING. Super thorough - quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to fix it just as fast !! Called McCullogh Heating & AC for a second opinion after the first company I went through started suggesting expensive maintenance and suggesting I might be needing a full unit replacement on a perfectly working AC. They immediately scheduled a same day appointment that arrived on time, their technician was thorough with the inspection, explained every test and result. 5/5 will use them again next year for my AC check and maintenance. Update 2025. I've used them a couple of times more for preventative maintenance and to fix a broken AC unit. Still 5/5.

Thomas and his trainee did a great job with our spring maintenance. They were very fair and thorough. My one complaint is that they didn't show up until almost 6 PM and had an all-day window. The communication was poor from the company. But once they arrived the service was great.

My wife and I are very happy with Junior De Jesus’ work on our McCullough A/C system. We recently began struggling with maintaining a similar temperature from one end of the house to another. Jesus diagnosed the problem as a faulty remote thermostat. Within a few days the new thermostat showed up and Jesus installed it. Problem fixed! We are very satisfied with the quality of McCullough’s technical staff. They know their stuff.

McCullough was able to schedule my AC "second opinion" appointment for the morning after I called. Shawn showed up to my rental property promptly, did his inspection and called me twice to discuss his findings and his recommendations. I appreciated his courteous, professional advice, and will call McCullough again if I have a similar AC issue.

McCullough came responded quickly, came out to assess my H-VAC system, gave me a quote on each component separately. Sent a contract via email, scheduled the rapair quickly and came to do the work when they said they would. Responsive business.

Motor failed on electric HVAC system, called into MCCullough and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Desmond arrived after 30 minute notification, professional and very knowledgeable he verified problem, provided short time fix while we waited for part to arrive and rescheduled repair for following Monday. Again Desmond was very courteous and professional, changed out motor and checked system to make sure everything was in working order. McCullough Heating & Air Conditioning Great Company Prompt and efficient Service.

We have used this company two other times for complete AC and heater installs at other houses. They are professional and do a good job. We have felt their prices were competitive and fair. Their installers take care to keep the area clean with drop cloths and shoe covers. They wear masks and use good Covid precautions. We will continue to use their service. Update: McCullough tech, Mitchell Reaves, did our annual inspection of our heating/cooling system this week, He was efficient and pleasant. He checked out our two systems and answered all of my questions. This annual inspection was part of our contract for maintenance that we pay monthly and is reasonably priced. We will continue to use this company.

Junior was awesome. Took time to explain what he was doing and things that he was concerned about. That way there aren’t surprises in the future. Very personal and nice as well.

I've had McCullough for several years to maintain my AC and heat unit. They send me a reminder and I pay for the maintenance monthly which makes budgeting easy. Dillon phoned prior to arrival and showed up on time. My annual maintenance went smoothly and Dillon explained what he was doing the entire time. Can't comment on quality of installations or repairs, but I can tell you about my experience trying to get a quote. I've already had my HVAC diagnosed more than 4 times over the last 4 years. I know my evaporator coil needs replacement. I know the make, model, and even the serial number. All I want is a quote to compare against other HVAC companies. When googling, I came across "Free In Home Estimates" for this company. I have them a call and was told there would be a $75 trip charge and diag fee. I replied that I do not need a diag. I can show pictures of the oil leaking and the serial number tags if they like. It's already been diagnosed 4 times and no technicians had conflicting stories. I need an evaporator coil. Many HVAC companies will charge you a trip fee, come out and look at it for 5 minutes and then try to sell you a $20,000 new system that should cost less than $10,000. I am kinda of tired of playing that game. If you want my business just tell me what you charge for the service! So, I hung up. Fair enough. You have to drive and you want a trip fee so as not to waste your day. I get it. I don't agree. That could be that. However, I get a text and two voicemails after that saying "sorry for the confusion. I asked around and we can give you a free second opinion. Call me back" So, I call back. I am then told it would only be considered a second opinion if I provided up front the record and quotes from the other companies. Well, that defeats the purpose of shopping for quotes, doesn't it? Have you seen how people bid on the Price Is Right? So, we circled back to the $75 trip charge. Anyway. It's spring and hovering around 60 degrees. I managed to get a free diag from three other companies immediately after I hung up. I'll choose the one that communicates the most clearly with the least amount of B.S. to do a job that costs thousands, for which there seems to be same day availability.

We had an issue with our heating system during the recent freeze and Shawn was able to quickly identify and solve the problem.

The best way you can tell a top notch service in my opinion is how they handle a situation when it goes wrong. Due to incompetence from a general construction contractor who did work on our building last year some AC units were misplaced and mislabeled causing work to be done on a wrong compressor unit than the one intended which was nearby. The service manager himself answered the call promptly and professionally, fixing the situation and made everything right the very same day. Joey the manager was polite, friendly and professional. He provided several options and full warranty on the necessary repairs. I will definitely use this service in the future for HVAC installation or service.

Nick came out and diagnosed the problem with my 14 year old heater very quickly. He gave me options to repair or replace. He was prompt and professional. Follow-up: (a few months later) I called to have my heater fixed and Junior de Jesus came out and repaired my issue. He was efficient, had notes from Nick’s visit to give him a place to start from and completed the repair flawlessly. He was super-nice too. Both Nick and Junior spoke to me like I’m an intelligent person; no ‘mansplaining’ here! They were also dressed professionally. I highly recommend calling McCullough if you have any issues with your a/c system.

We have had some issues with bedrooms being either to cold or to hot since last our new system was installed last August. Alvin the service tech came in and quickly made some adjustments to our duct work dampers. He is going to talk with his supervisor regarding doing some additional testing on our duct work.

A great experience with McCullough last month. I have an older Lennox furnace that I am trying to get one more season out of and I needed some troubleshooting because it was working fine but shutting off intermittently. The service call I received from McCullough was exemplary. The tech took time to really inspect and diagnose what the issue could be. He also listened to me to understand what had already been attempted to fix it. After a short time he solved the problem. It was actually a simple, analog fix yet 2 other companies who came to look at it completely failed. McCullough did the right thing and actually repaired my unit. They are now first on my HVAC referral list. The 2 other companies that came to look at it were a disaster. One of them just basically threw a part at it without any sincere effort to perform a diagnosis. The second company was even worse as their 'tech' was only interested in selling me a brand new HVAC system and essentially pretended to inspect my furnace and said it was beyond repair. In contrast McCullough really helped me out. Their tech did also discuss the need for eventual replacement (its a 27 year old HVAC) but he did it AFTER repairing my furnace and in a way that didn't insult my intelligence. When it is time to replace my entire system, McCullough has earned the right to be my first call.

Alvin was really good at his job. He showed he cared about us and the type of work he did.

Heater temperature wasn’t getting hot and Alvin came and got it working again. He was professional, courteous and fixed it quickly!

I have the deepest appreciation for Alonso and the full McCullough team. My home wasn’t heating during the freeze, and Radiant told me that my entire HVAC would have to be replaced and quoted me $15,000. Thankfully I had some good folks around me who told me to reach out to McCullough for a second opinion. Not only did they show up the next day, they confirmed my system was in good working order, adjusted my thermostat to ensure that the home would continue to heat, and did it all for free. This company truly puts the customers interests first, and doesn’t use a hard situation to try to scam someone out of a sum that is equal to the down payment of a house. McCullough has earned a lifelong customer.

It was a necessary visit to get the ball rolling on a solution to a problem for which no one has offered a solution in the past six years. Their visit led to a visit from Troy later in the day, who was able to identify the problem and a solution that is significantly cheaper than replacing all of my heating ducts.
