I was told by another company that my compressor was dead. Thankfully Eric did some due diligence and had my system online in 20 minutes or so. An honest competent technician is refreshing. I wish I called McCullough first.

My AC stopped working on Saturday. Called McCullough, and they had a tech to our home first thing Sunday morning..The tech, Sean, was professional and prompt. He checked our outside and inside unit, and had the issue diagnosed within minutes. He explained the cost and set our mind at ease. He worked swiftly and fixed the capacitor, what seemed like minutes. I highly recommend McCullough and have nothing but high praise for their tech Sean.

Evan Young and McCullough AC was outstanding - they helped us think through a 2 stage system and zoning upgrade for upstairs and downstairs, highly rcommend!

Very professional service on two A/C units. I suspected one unit was low on refrigerant and Clayton confirmed that. It was $105 for 1 pound of refrigerant. He replaced one of the filters and hosed out the condensing units. He also confirmed that I correctly wired my new smart thermostat.

Have installed 2 systems in the last 3 months, both replaced A/C & Heat systems were over 20 years old... I appreciate the consultive and honest approach Alex brought. Once we made the decision, we have been pleased with the install and results! Highly recommend!

What a fantastic experience! Our air conditioner stopped working and after meeting and getting a quote from a popular company we decided to get a second opinion on options and costs. Clayton was our tech for a recent AC outage due to a clog. Besides fixing the issue, he gave me tips on preventing the problem in the future, and reminded me to order filters. Great guy & good service.

I needed my 25 year-old HVAC system replaced and McCullough submitted the best price and equipment out of four companies. Evan was our project manager and was very patient and responsive to our numerous questions. Ricardo and Ivan removed our old system and installed the new Carrier equipment. Both were very professional and patient. Their attention to detail was refreshing. Dominique followed up with a QC appointment and he was just as professional and patient with our many questions. I won't use any other HVAC company and highly recommend McCullough to my friends and neighbors.

Charles did a great job diagnosing and explaining varied options for how best to address the issue at hand. Concise, clear and very helpful.

Makayla was wonderful, she really was thorough and timely. She called and provided a ton of photos without being asked. The turnaround was quick from estimate and job close out! Really can’t say enough good things, biggest bang for my buck in some time!

They waited until our unit was performing as it should. They did not just install and leave. Local company with that local care. Amber (sales coordinator) assist me with my questions & she was extremely helpful.

Needed a maintenance visit and was serviced by Guillermo today. From a timely arrival through his thorough diagnosis of the issue to his resolving my issue with politeness and professionalism, Guillermo was the ultimate pro and a great ambassador for McCullough.

Josh fixed the A/C unit quickly. He diagnosed the main issue as he walked up to the unit. His expertise is outstanding. He even improved obscure elements that we didn't even know about. We want Josh to do all future maintenance on our system.

I am happy with McCullough Heating and Air. Last week, my a/c kept randomly blowing hot air. The two technicians who came to my home were very nice and professional. They answered all my questions! Eric figured out the problem quickly and with Brian’s help, my house began rapidly cooling and back to normal. Thank you!

We greatly appreciated the fast and efficient work that Thomas Ischy did at 10 PM to clear our clogged condensation line. He also installed a properly placed clean out port to help us avoid that problem in the future. His thoughtful and appropriate handling of the situation was also much appreciated.

McCullough Heating & Air conditioning have been servicing our units twice a years once since 2012. They have always been professional and very efficient. I have never had an issue with them.

Another Mccoulough miracle. There were some hiccups with scheduling and I reached out to the office and they assigned Eric to be our personal repair professional. He shared his cell and basically worked around our schedule for the repair. For our inconvenience Mccoulough added another year of labor coverage. We have been with Mccoulough for decades for our 4 units. We would never use anyone else!

Great experience through our the whole Process

Writing another review because Blake & Jared’s work has to be appreciated! We had such a complex/janky setup with our previous system and they spent all day troubleshooting a replacement project- making sure every detail was correct. That gives us huge piece of mind with the repairs and yet again- McCullough sends the best people!

SHE did an absolutely thorough job. We are very satisfied with HER and McCullough. and I love that McCullough has a woman working these jobs! Excellent!

I have been using McCullough Heating and Air to provide my twice yearly maintenance for nearly 3 years. During the last 2 months I have had my unit serviced by Vlad for a drain clog and recently Jared for my annual maintenance. Both technicians did a great job and spent time servicing my unit despite that it happened to be late in the day. Both were professional in their demeanor and engaging. I would have to say the same for the past technicians who have serviced my a/c unit. I would also offer that I have been impressed with the thorough maintenance service that McCullough provides,

Shawn and the eval/repair team were great. 5 stars for them. Unfortunately the front office is impossible to work with. Erica in particular. After expressing to the eval team that yes, of course I would like to buy the annual membership as part of a $4k repair because it would result in net savings of $400+, when the time came to perform the repair the final payment was processed without any mention of the annual membership and savings. After this I contacted McCullough the same day of service to ask if it was possible to add the membership and receive the discount. One team member informed me that was possible, so we added the membership. The next day, Erica informed me this is not possible and that there was nothing they can do. This makes absolutely no sense to me and there was no conversation or admission of minor error that could be rectified relatively easily. So now instead of being pleased with the work, next time I need AC service it won’t be with McCullough.

The system my dad has was installed back in 2010 by McCullough and they have serviced the system since then...I have always been more than satisfied...this specific service/repair event, even more so...the heating kit on the Auxiliary system was no longer working and a new one was ordered...this is the system in my 86 year old father's home, so his warmth is paramount to me...the new heat kit was faulty and the service tech and McCullough coordinated finding a replacement and searched the city and found one...all was completed by 1:30pm and well before the storm hit...my dad's home maintained a comfy 72 degrees...I am very thankful and appreciative... Update: McCullough just replaced the 20+ year HVAC system in my own home and I also cannot say enough good things about that experience...from the repair gentleman, to the sales tech to the install crew and then finally the quality control inspector...3rd experience with McCullough and I cannot recommend them highly enough...

Zach did a great job explaining my situation with me , was patient with all my questions , and there was a bunch and did a thorough exam of my system which is why I called to have done . Overall very good experience with McCullough . Definitely would recommend to others . Thanks

My AC went out on a Sunday afternoon I called McCullock Monday morning, scheduled Tuesday and had it repaired and running by mid afternoon Tuesday. Recommended a new system which honestly overdue. McCullock’s staff are always great!

Dillon was an excellent service person. He found the problem, quickly fixed it, and was extremely pleasant. I would request him every time if I was able to choose the person to do the work.

My AC stopped working last night. I called McCullough and they scheduled me with a technician the same day. Makayla was amazing. She explained to me what the issue was and without hesitation she got my unit back up and running while working in the rain. I highly recommend McCullough, I think I found my go to HVAC company!

Technicians are great. The fact that McCullough gives an all-day window for the technician to arrive is so 1980-ish. Even cable companies give you a 4-hour arrival window.

She also took the time to recommend a commercial product for use in cleaning drain lines (instead of vinegar). Overall—well done.

After a diagnosis for a $3000 repair by another big, reputable Austin plumbing company, Charles Bryant came to give me another bid. He didn’t find any evidence of the repair being needed! He told me the processes he’d followed to come to that conclusion, and it all made total sense. He was professional and efficient. He ended up fixing the configuration of the drain line which was also done wrong by the other company. The repair of the drain line pea trap was more than I would normally expect to pay (I own rental houses so I have too much experience with repairs), but I have absolute 100% confidence that Charles did it correctly. Worth every penny!

Vlad is the absolute best. I had a previously bad experience and the team at McCullough offered a different tech to come back for free and make it right. Vlad not only spent HOURS checking every little detail, but gave me a personal phone call explaining his recommendations because I was not able to be there in person. He offered his personal cell phone and wrote an email with details and photos. Stellar job. Dude needs a raise!

Have used McCullough for about 2 years. Have found all their technicians and office staff to be professional, dependable and trustworthy. We have systems that are about 15 yrs old. And have made a few upgrades to help eliminate mold and dust concerns we’ve noticed, over all we found McCollough to be super informative and reasonable with their recommendations to address my concerns. Specifically, our technician Jaiden Mendez was super helpful and informative.

McCullough Heating & Air Conditioning provided great service. Jaiden was friendly, explained everything clearly, and answered all my questions. My outside unit wasn’t making any noise and the fan wasn’t moving. They replaced the capacitor, contactor, and hard start kit, and the pricing was fair. They came out very quickly on a Sunday morning, which I really appreciated in the Texas summer heat. The phone staff was also kind and helpful. My AC is working again and I’ll likely use them in the future when I finally replace the whole unit.

I had some roof rats up in my attic and they did some damage up there and to the lines outside too (they chewed through to gain access to my garage and attic). And on top of that, the installation of my a/c unit was NOT done properly by the company that did it ten years ago. Henry found some issues that was causing demonstrable stress and damage to my unit that would shorten the life and gave me a reasonable quote to fix it all in one visit. Thanks!!

Junior, my technician, came in and quickly tested my unit and diagnosed the problem. The day before I had a company in and they spent 3 hours. Said no heating element was out. Still no heat. Charged me $200 and left. Said some wires needed to be replaced! How wrong he was!! Junior found 3 heating elements out and said a pipe had been disconnected and never reconnected by previous tech. Junior is very knowledgable, kind and easy to understand. Thank you McCullough for your reputable, dependable company. Junior deserves a raise. 😃

And here’s mine: called Monday morning, got my HVAC inspected, then sales came out to talk to me to pick a new one—then it was installed on Tuesday. Amazing!! And every single interaction with McCullough employees has been exceptionally positive. Shout out to Alex who helped me pick out an AC and didn’t try to upsell me. He was a great communicator and took into account not just my home size, but my personal budget. And the installers, Richard and Arthur, were fantastic. They were friendly, respectful, and clearly care about the integrity of their work. And after working 12 hours in the heat, they left my attic, home and yard spotless. That tells you a LOT. Stellar company to work with. I had 3 different companies come out and felt oversold.. working with these guys has been so comforting. AC is no joke in Texas and worth having someone who cares- that was this team. Makayla was amazing. Thorough and obviously very knowledgeable, she stayed to answer all of my questions and help us weigh the decision of repair vs. replace. Then the PM Peter came out same day (within 20 mins) to eval our tricky unit and worked hard to get options. Class act!!! I signed on for the membership, that’s how much I trust them.

Fast service. Quick response. The AC Tech Sean C. fixed a complicated issue that a different company caused. Sean said he could have the control board installed and AC running the same day and he came through big time and saved the day and summer. It was 103 degrees that day. Next time I am calling these guys first Sean had the part delivered and began work in under an hour. The same part that the other company said could take days to find. Sean replaced a burnt out control board then replaced other burnt out parts the other company left. Was not an easy fix . reverse engineering the previous company’s work that blew up about 5 different components/fuses. First time in 10 years my AC is quiet and doesn’t sound like the back of an airplane . no more burnt plastic smell. . No nonsense quick service! After the last company’s games it was nice to have straightforward answers and solutions. Recommend. Thanks.

My A/C was struggling to keep up in the Texas heat, Josh showed up with his tools and a smile ( even though it clearly had been a very long day for him) - he methodically went through his maintenance check and eventually discovered a capacitor on its last leg ( compressor wasn’t coming on when it should have). Swapped it out and everything is working fine now. 10/10 for Josh and McCullough - highly recommend.

I have a service plan with McCullough HAC, and it is the best investment I have made for my HAC system. The AC stopped working, and with just one call, I got a next-day appointment. Matt, the technician, came right at the scheduled time, made a diagnosis, fixed the unit, and we were up and running in no time! Thanks, guys! UPDATE: Second visit, ditto on the above. Zach was very capable, professional and went above and beyond to check out my 2 AC units in a situation where I didn’t know where they were located in my new home. He was patient while locating them and was gracious about the difficulty accessing them in crawl space and attic without good lighting. Very resourceful and kind. Makayla was our technician and seemed very knowledgeable. She was excellent at communicating every step of the way in checking for the cause of the problem with the a/c and in eventually replacing the compressor. She gets 5 stars. However this is a brand new Carrier unit that is less than three months old. This was the second time it broke. McCullough did send someone out quickly each time to check out our a/c which was much appreciated. Just wish the Carrier unit were better made. They don’t make them like they used to.

Disappointed with my recent experience. Poor communication, different answers depending on who I spoke with, and then a requirement to pay in full before services are completed. No thanks.

Replaced twenty-year-old AC system with new carrier system also replaced some duct work when old system was removed. Derek at McCullouth was very helpful and accommodating to my requirements. His team was very professional to work with and finished ahead of schedule even with the additional ducting being replacement. 6+yes after having both AC units replaced, I've had Great service from McCullough over te years. 6 yrs later: the technicians at McCullough that have been servicing my 2 AC units have done a very good job over the years.

We had three A/C wish list items resolved easily and correctly by Shawn and the team. First, we had a humidity issue in our home and had a whole home dehumidifier installed (we love it). Second, we had the air intake for our unit evaluated and upsized. And third, our original metal ducting had old, deteriorating insulation so we had all the attic ducts re-wrapped and sealed up. We were really impressed with Shawn and the team. They were thorough, professional and helpful. It is obvious that McCullough has a team of folks with plenty of experience to get any job done correctly.

They were great, Makayla is excellent. Very professional and knowledgeable about the systems, and made helpful recommendations for lowering my utility bills on a go forward basis. I will definitely continue to use the company and would like her to be the point of contact for a winter check up.

Want to give a shout-out to Richard and Arthur for installing a new electrical/heat pump AC unit and an extra duct to our always-hot back bedroom. They did great work, especially considering the attic was 137° for awhile, but they stayed positive, professional, and worked hard. Thanks, guys!!

My AC fan went out late Tuesday night. They sent Josh out by Wednesday night. He had it up and running quickly. His truck was thankfully equipped with all the needed parts. He explained everything to me in layman’s terms so I could understand. He was very professional and courteous. He gets a definite 5 stars from me.

I love this company! My brother referred them to me, I used them in my and just used them again on my mother in Laws house. Every time they have worked with us, they have been very transparent and very honest with repairs, and most importantly, recommendations. If it does not need to be done, that is how it is explained, it is a “hey it would help, or might need it later, or it will help cool, but not a huge benefit” in short they show up and do the job they were called out to do, then discuss options. For example they pointed out our plenum (air distribution box) was undersized, (which is common in new houses to save money). It was a Potential overpressure point on the system. They quoted and recommended a new one. We did it, and it made a big difference in amount of air flow. We have had several companies up in our attic to work on the damper, do general maintenance and the like. Not one ever mentioned the size of our plenum. If you need hvac work done call these guys. They are prompt, fast, honest, and detail oriented. They will always be my first call moving forward.

I can't thank you all enough for helping us out diagnosing and correcting our issue so quickly. Jaiden was very honest and thorough, we now have some great working AC again. Will definitely utilize McCullough in the future!!

They checked everything. Hopefully solved the problem. Disappointed that I was charged a diagnostic fee for a unit that was about 7 months old. I hope this is not going to be a problem with Carrier air conditioners.

Henry quickly identified the problem, recommended and implemented the fix within one day during an emergency situation.

Shawn came out on the weekend and went above and beyond to service our ac on a very hot day. He seemed highly knowledgeable, and ran through a list of potential issues that he was going to investigate, found the problem, and then provided a thorough explanation of the issue and the fix. We highly recommend!

4.5/5 stars. First summer in our first home, and our AC was cutting off midday with no air reaching multiple rooms. We called a bunch of top companies beginning around Memorial Day, and McCullough was the only one to pick up the phone. Long story short, they concluded our system was ok, but our ductwork was shredded. Sales guy Pete came out same-day to issue a quote. He returned on a Saturday to measure vents and calculate heatload, and walked us through options for tackling a section of the house with no attic access. McCullough waited several weeks while we worked with a pest company to clear the attic, and then scheduled the work as soon as we said go. A crew came out and replaced all our ductwork and blew new insulation in one single day. Within 2 days, the system began short cycling (again), so we called back and McCullough sent Josh out next-day, who diagnosed a major drain clog, weak capacitor, and drain sensor failure and answered all my pesky questions about how to prevent clogs in the future. I question why all this didn’t come up during the initial diagnostics! Prepare for your issue to take multiple call-outs to fix and for things to cost a fortune (so you’re weary and give in to the maintenance plan?) but aside from that, they were super responsive, professional, flexible, upfront about challenges and structural limitations, and they ultimately did excellent, clean work in extraordinary heat to ensure we are comfortable in our home. If you need the pros, call them!

Our upstairs stopped cooling and we called McCullough after some friends had just used them. They showed up at their scheduled time and were able to diagnose the problem. They called about the warranty on my unit and unfortunately it had just run out in November. We had to wait a day to find the part and reschedule a technician to come back out for install. I recommend them and would use them again. UPDATE: The new compressor that the technician said I needed stopped working after 7 days. The technician who installed it mentioned it could stop cooling after 7-8 days and it could be a clogged filter. Thought this was a little odd but was glad to have cool air. After having this same technician come out 2 other times doing random things and trying to sell me services that were not needed we still did not have cool air. After the third phone call to have someone come out they finally recognized that maybe we needed a different person. They sent MATT DOWNING to my home and I cannot say enough good things about him and his work. He actually did a full diagnostic of my system, which the first technician never did. Unclogged a drain and replaced the filter the other technician said might be clogged, got the compressor working correctly (it never was and that filter should have been changed to begin with as part of the new system). He made sure that it was cold air blowing out of the vents before he left and communicated with me the entire time what was going on. He made what I thought were a couple of truthful recommendations and I was not charged for another service call. Before Matt came out I was never going to use McCullough again or refer them. I would have them service my system again now. It has been recommended that I would get better airflow if I put in new duct work. Current is 20 years old and disintegrated. Kyle Stirling came out and assessed everything. I agreed it was time and decided to move forward. Kyle was great to work with. Communicated well, very respectful and efficient. I feel confident in my choice and the work that was done.

Naser Berenji is top notch! He communicated his arrival time and arrived on time. He explained the issues clearly and provided recommendations. He fixed the issue and gave us a debrief on the work and associated cost. Very professional. (He was also really sweet to our dog!)

Dillon and Bryan were great. We had the upstairs unit that failed (perhaps a storm voltage surge) and the upper floor was unlivable. Dillon was scheduled the next day and he diagnosed the issue, did research on the parts that needed replacement and had them to us in a few days. He brought Bryan with him a few days later and got the replacement boards installed and the unit up and running! Mcculough cares about getting you comfortable as quickly as possible and so I’ve been with them for years.

Dillon Revells helped us identify and fix an issue with our AC that we have been having off and on for years. We've had other people out and none of them actually got to the root of the problem until Dillon. He zeroed in on what was going on very quickly and wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty, literally, and dig through mud to solve the issue. We are extremely happy with the results.

I have been with McCullough for almost 30 yrs in our home with 5 A/C units. They have always been there for us. Today, there came through again! Our largest A/C unit (under warranty) stopped working yesterday. I called Chris before 8 this morning (who sold this unit to me), frantic, as we were hosting a large birthday celebration in 2 days- eek! He immediately responded (even though he is not in the service area), and set me up with service managers and parts were quickly ordered, picked up, and installed in one afternoon. James, the service tech, came to my home, waited over an hour for the parts to be delivered here, and installed them quickly and I was up and running! Party saved! McCullough people are superstars and lifesavers! I would never use anyone else. Thank you, McCullough!

Professional and fast service. Eric diagnosed my failing A/C immediately, had replacement parts delivered that afternoon, and serviced it first thing in the morning. They took in my A/C warranty and only charged me for labor.

And have made a few upgrades to help eliminate mold and dust concerns we’ve noticed, over all we found McCollough to be super informative and reasonable with their recommendations to address my concerns.
